Illustrations and story line, which one would you prefer the most? oO;

I say storyline, it doesnt matter how the drawing is, as long as the story is going well then im fine with it.

Im reading this one manga, the pictures are very messy, i dun understand at all, but the story is great.

.. I have a problem with bad animation. It gets on my nerves, therefore it draws my attention away from the story. Doesn't matter how great of a story it is, if the animation sucks, I'll most likely stop watching it.... *Cough*LupinThe3rd*Cough*... :P

Both play an important role and are a factor i would consider. Storyline is the main thing for me, although it has to get past animation tests in my eyes. After all an anime is just another way of gettting across a story with animation right, so as i said both are needed.

I love to look at the anime but I think it's a little more important for the story line to be cool, interesting, and exiting!!

Both things back up each other, you can't really just have one. What's the point of having an amazing looking anime with no story to it, that would just be boring and dull and same can be said for vice-versa. An anime with story but crappy animation and art, that would go a little futher but not by too far.

all are good and boast a story that keeps you interested. shaman king is different, the anime is so messed up its not funny. manga is good though

Agreed on that, i wasn't that impressed with the anime at all, it seemed like Pokemon and all the other "Kids Crap" that they air on T.V. Same goes for Yu-Gi-Oh, anime is crappy but the manga is soo much better. The problem is they dub too much and that ends up being the cause of why it's crap!

4kids entertainment is so intent on making all japanese manga/anime look bad and childish. they may be cartoons here but in japan there anime.

some turned out well like trigun, but it wasent made by 4kids

I prefer the storyline. If the story sucks, then why bother watching/reading it? But I would also like it if the pictures aren't too crabby.
