For me they have to have a sense of humor, personality and they have to be smart....the looks don't really matter much to me...to TRUELY fall for someone, to me anyway, means that you fall for who they are...not what they look like or their social status....those kind of relationships NEVER work out.....well in my opinion they don't ^^;;

Personality,A boy who keeps me laughing,will love me and only, (not chasing after any other girls or whores)he won't think i'm ugly,treats my family ,has somewhat of a sarcastic humor too,and friends with respect, and most likely,likes to do atleast half of the things I enjoy doing:
Going on the computer,talking on the phone,chatting,anime,drawing,maybe...writing stories(mostly anime,unless it's for school),and that's it.

Still, I'd want someone who I can have hours-long conversations with every day, without growing bored, or sit silently with, because it's comfortable and not awkward. Everyone has some kind of physical preference, but I would put that aside if a spark is there, if chemistry is there (You have to be attracted to him, yes?). I want someone who's a best friend, but who never forgets that we're more than friends. I want someone who's as devoted to me as I am to him, while both realizing when space is needed. Someone who's always there, as I am always there for him.

Anyway....I live in a peer-pressured environment, so as Kyo said, looks are going to have to be up there, but not at the top. My friends apply so much pressure for me to just roll up one day with a really hot chick around my arm, but i dont see that happening, since most hot chicks ive known have real nasty attitude problems and hang around with a lot of different guys.

I find it incredible that so many people listed personality. I agree that looks play a minor factor in first meeting someone, but in the end I want a guy with a good sense of humour. If you can't laugh at life together, I don't think there's much hope of fun and happiness.

well, i prefer a guy whoes personality is nice and cares. Yeah, also who is funny, but not too funny that he goes over. I had like one, and he was sort of funny, but he gave too many gifts! >.<;; i hate that! And we didn't spend much time with each other, so we kind of broke apart after almost a year. =P But that's when i was young so i know better. Ah, but is it looks or is it chemistry? Think about it. The guy could look like your dream guy...but no spark is there. Would you want that, or the one who doesn't meet every demand in your looks department, but draws you right in with sparks?

I think as far as looks go, it's not "Movie Star" perfect.. it's pretty much someone who is well-kept, dresses nicely, and takes care of themselves. Looks do matter, it just matters more to some than to others.

Although I do have a weakness for good-looking Rock Stars... ^____^;;
