I love X/1999. The animation is my favorite part of it though; so beautiful. In real CLAMP style it was made. Its filled with beautiful people.
i loved X! though the one part i hate is where the two heros gained their swords, one because his mom ripped it out of her, and the other because he ripped it out of the best friend

X is a great movie i like the song at at the credits its really good but the ending was sad when fuma got his head cut off.
I know. Its one of those movies you have to watch a thousand times over.
Is the manga any good? Im a fan of the movie, never saw the series though. I just thought it might be better to read the manga instead.

X has very good manga in my opinon out of the 3 options of series,movie,and manga i would choose the manga.
I might give it a try then. Cheaper than getting the dvd.
i liked both the movie and the anime series
the movie had more gore, different action, and different story line
the anime series the action was still great, the characters were better, and it explains the story line more

I have to admit that I've only seen the first episode of the series, but I still like it regardless. I've read the manga here and there, what is available to me at the library. Which isn't much, but whatever...It's all good!
The movie, in my opinion, was a little too...quiet. There would be scenes where there's just this long, awkward silence. But I still liked it quite a bit.
I loved this series. I think this is one of the few series that I actually got every DVD individually at full price.
CLAMP does such great work, I love thier art and style.
I have X/1999 the movie and it seemed to go rather fast for me. I was a little confused about what exactly was going on at times. I still enjoyed it though and when the series started coming out I snatched it right up.
I also have Tokyo Babylon which is supposed to be the prequel to X/1999.
I haven't read the manga yet, I can only afford one addiction at a time unfortunately.

Oh, trust me...I would buy that series on DVD if I could only find the first DVD of it! I swear that nobody wants me to see it. The only ones I can find is the fifth through eighth...
Where are you looking for it? Sometimes if you ask the store to order it for you they might.
Another option, which I find to work very well for me, is to order it online.

There is another great place to get anime from and I have gotten from them a few times. They have always been great.

Be careful though. If the description has just Japanese and Chinese languages spoken stay away from it because the subtitles are always really bad, at least in my experience they have been.

Well, I'll attempt to talk my mother into letting me buy something offline! ^_^
The places that I'm checking, though, are at Best Buy and Suncoast, because they're the only stores that I know of that actually sell anime! At least, good ones like X. I suppose that I should try asking them to order it, though!

I think I have seen the entire series of X at Sun Devil DVD for under $20. It's not the Chinese subtitled package either, although it never hurts to double check the languages. I have gotten Trigun, GTO and Chobits that way.

Under 20 bucks is really cheap thats a great deal i hope i can find that deal.
