What is your favorite RPG game?

Im an RPG lover. I just want to know what everyone's favorite RPG game is.

My favorite RPG game is Tales of Symphonia. I beat the game a while back, and i have to say, i had a hell of a time playing it. The music was awesome, the real time battle system was a great change from the FF series, and the storyline was incredible.

Due to lack of funds (read: I'm broke) I haven't been able to play that many RPG's, even though I'm an RPG lover as well.

Of the RPG's that I have played, I found the Golden Sun duology the best. Quick turn-based action, interesting story and some very mind-breaking puzzles in the lighthouses.

Wow this is the 5th thread I've seen this week with a similar title. heh ^^; But hmm my favorite RPG... an oldie, but classic.. Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete... it had a wonderful soundtrack too.. i loved the songs... the battle system was okay for its time.. and they actually accumulated voice acting in there which was pretty good for a 90's game... =) The whole FF series is another fave... of course.

MY favorite Rpg Game is final fantasy 7, its the best and i am sure everyone will agree with me.

Yeah FF9 is cool. I really like the main character Zidane hes a player,he trys to get girls like Irvine on FF8 lol

Fallout is the best RPG! And FF8 didn't suck...all the time...well, maybe just a little...

lets see...i have alot but my most recent...is star ocean 3:till the end of time...it is a great RPG...the action..the lengh....the story line...and the graphics..are the best but the worst is...im stuck on a part... cant get past

Star Ocean: the second story is one of the deepest rps ever made. I havent played Star Ocean 3 yet but im sure it will live up to its name a third time. Suikoden and Suikoden 2 are also great rpgs. Very good storyline and awsome characters compliment the 108+ characters you can play as. Final Fantasy Tactics is a classic. Some day I hope to compliment that game. Final Fantasy has come up from its humble beginnigs and proven to set the bar as far as rpg graphics and story telling are concerned. Still havent played the online version though.

My favorite rpg is FFVII. Super story line, super character development, great gameplay, what more do you need. I never get bored of this game ever(except when Cloud ODs on Mako and he's out for a bit) More stuff to find out everytime you play makes it a game that you can play forever and not get bored with it(unless you cheap gamers get your fixes off looking stuff up on the internet or look up secrets in strategy guides) This is my favorite game of all time and I doubt any will ever come close to it. Well...thats a big leap since I'm only 17, but its a safe bet right now.

I went into my past in gaming and played Star Ocean : 2nd Story. I liked it, but I compared it to Lunar 2 : Eternal Blue Stories..i'd have to say i like Lunar 2 alot better then SO:2. But dont get me wrong, as far as battle systems go, Star Ocean 2 is the better game. Overall though I liked Lunar 2 : Eternal Blue Stories is the better.

Here's a question for you all:

Final Fantasy 7 vs. Chrono Trigger

in my opinion, i think Chrono Trigger is the superior RPG of all time, but on the other hand, ff7 is one of those rpgs that i get sucked into when i turn on my ps1

oh oh ooooh!! my favorite game would have to be FF8!! i dont care what people say. the story was so sad..and Squall was awesome! after that would have to be either FF7, cause all the characters were cool, or maybe...hmm...both Lunars were good..and..uh..well there were a lot of really good games. Star Ocean: the second story was really good since you could accept or decline almost any character to join you. there was lots of things you could do if you didnt want to follow the main story for a while.

shadow hearts was also a good game. i didnt get the newest one yet but i know a lot of my friends said it was really good. im gunna buy that one soon
