A Serious Anime/Manga Problem

When ever I am around people who see me on this site or on any anime or japanese cartoon related sites they make fun and say wow dude hahaha your on Pokemon or hahaha your on Yugioh your an idiot or haha your a pervert get off that Cartoon Porno. It pisses me off that they do not know the joy that we anime lovers feel about anime.What should I say to make them stop? Should I just ignore them and mind my own business? Well that doesnt work because they dont stop.I can hear them just talking about me,well us.(seeing it if your on this site you like anime and its like there talking about you too) I was on this site and responding to what some one said on a Gay Marriage Thread they made. A guy was looking over my shoulder and said hahaha hes looking at a gay forum thing so hes gay.Now I do not have a problem with gay people but I do not like being called something i am not.
A friend of mine said kill them or something but hes nuts and he *****es about every little thing.

What Should I do?

wait so did you just admit to watching cartoon porno, or am I the only one that read it that way? If thats the case I'd laugh at ya too, but preferences to porn set aside ummm how about just ignoring them. But really you cant really set a good vibe about yourself looking at anime in public areas, since its more a niche thing right now, just check sites at home and do normal things in the meantime

well kid, by the look of your post I'm guessing you're under the age of 16 right? I say this because you watch shows like Yugi Oh and Pokemon, they are just making fun of you cuz they are older than you and they know how lame those shows are (sorry if anybody else like's these shows). They just wanna have power over someone cuz in real life they are weak, I say just block them. Works great on this site, but I'm not sure how they do things on other sites.....

Example:
Girl 1:I thought "retard" was spelled differently.

everyone likes different things. Some people are into anime, other people are into model trains. Who you are is who you are; don't change yourself because of what other people think because everyone thinks differently. You'll never be able to please everyone. Not every single person will like you. Those are life facts, so the only way to live an awesome life is to live it the way you want to. And not how other people want you to. If you like anime, you like anime, you don't ya don't. Simple as that.

tell them that japanese naimation simply means animation from Japan. As in there is osmerthing from literally every genre you can think of in Hollywood or otherwise, just animated instead ofl ive action. Then show them pictures of Hellsing or Gungrave and watch their prepubescent eyes light up with glee.

Dude, you're soon 18 years old. Get a grip. Some people don't like what you like. They don't like what you do. If that is because they know less, know more, are smarter, are dumber, I don't care. Some people will allways talk bad about your likings. That's what this thing we love to call "taste" is all about.

So shut up when they talk to you, and release your agression some way, start with competitive violence or whatever.

Or tell them to shut the funk up, and stop bothering you.

Or explain to them calmly what it is you are interested in, and that what they think of it is wrong.

Or just don't care.

People like different things. Get used to it because you'll notice it a lot during life. Some people are less ignorant and will listen to discussion about your point of view, but most likely it will be the case of "Ha ha you like something I don't, which makes you dumb aahahaha! etc" kind of thing. In this case, just ignore them. They are the kind of person who has to be a sheep in a crowd of... well... even more sheep, and will poke fun at anyone or anything that differs slightly from the norm.

If you like something, you shouldn't be bothered about anyone else's opinion of it anyway.

And from now on, thanks to En Svensk, I am going to use the word "funk" a lot more often.
