i do i loved it, i read the book and saw the play.

i saw the play and it was pretty good. i wouldn't mind seeing it again sometime.
i'm going to see the play with my friends the day after tomorrow...

I just saw the movie the other day. Wasn't terribly impressed by that... Perhaps it just doesn't transfer well onto the big screen... Came off as a bit cheesy in parts that don't seem quite that way when seen on stage. Then again, they were acting as if they WERE on stage...which could be why it was rather corny and filled with over-acting... Since you have to sort of over-act on stage, but for film you have to under-act. They needed to bring it down a notch or two for the screen...

yeah... i heard the movie really wasnt that good.
They changed a lot of stuff from the actual play and it was much shorter.

I've not seen the musical but I have the original soundtrack and it's beautiful.
I want to see the movie, but the musical isn't running here at the mo' so I'll have to borrow a dvd version of the musical from the library at uni.

Depends on the type of romance. Cheesy hollywood romances with the feel-good music and lots of hugs, smiles, and a BIG DRAMATIZED KISS at the end are horrible. I like the doomed romances like Dracula. Or movies where the romance is more of a sideliner like Elizabeth.
