A mother and daughter.. really sweet picture. I have no idea of the source unfortunately. Now with a parchment bg and less laziness overall!

You can see part of the little girl's chest, however, if you find it erotic I worry for your soul.
As usual, it's a huge filesize, but I hate jpeg artifacts. PNG rocks my socks.

I love the effect. it looks as if you're making it look like an aged piece of paper... maybe you can even make it look like a piece of paper... try roughing up the edges to make it look like ripped paper, and fill the empty areas with black.

Is there a filter or tool I can use for paint shop pro 8 to rough up the edges? I'm no good with selecting by myself.

Is it just me that the bed on the left side is missing the rest of the bed skirt that is shown on the right. Other than that it look goods and what other have said to make it more old paper looking.

I've tried a few things, but I can't seem to get the right "old paper" tattered effect. Anyone have some tips?

don't you have anything like an option of "old photo" and then "100 percent" or whatever?

so it could look sort of like this....? this is just a close up of a portion of it of what it could look like. not sure if it is what you are looking for but oh well. X_x X.x Xx;

oh, you have psp 8? erm.....nvm then. Oo; but then again....... i could check with chimes so please hold on that........

(not sure if photoshop has it either.......hmmmm.......)

however........ while you are on hold for the old photo look, you could also add in a bit of "emboss color" but at "0 percent". (you don't want it at 100, otherwise it will look like viewing through someone's eyes who got drunk and has double vision.) so that should help a bit if you have that option.....

sharpening it and equilization may also help a bit.

what you could also do is enhance it to 0%, adding a contrast of 0%-30%, and also you could play around with the brightness.

hmmmmm..... what else..... you could also play around with the straturation and the hue to make it have that ageing color. also, play around with the highlight, midtones, and shadow if you can.... (not the shadow as in adding shadow, the kind where you make the image darker. "shadow" isn't the same as "brightness".

erm.....so that is a list of things you could do to make it look more old.....

Edit: also, you know how some old photos have that pixilated effect? well, you can also try to add "filmgrain".

i don't remember, however, do you have a search section, or a "help" try typing in "effects" or old photo effect". somewhere along those lines. i think if you go to file and then edit (or whatever it says) then you should find it somwhere in there.

i am sooooo sorry i am such a pathetic helper. >.<

Thanks much for tryin' to help, but I think I'll leave it as is. There's not much I can do on my own and I'm fairly happy with what I have, though I know someone else out there can do much better.

to get to the old photo/newspaper effect.

1. Open Pain shop pro where you get an image.
2. Click on "Effect" and then click on "Artistic Effect"
3. Then click on Aged Newspaper. (that's what it says instead of old photo. same thing but there you go ^^;.....)
