Meltdown
I had a difficult time choosing a background for this girl. The one I was working on... sucked. So I started over and wound up with this. Yeah, it doesn't fit. Somehow though, it does fit IMO. Anyway, thoughts? What needs fixing? Changing? Suggestions for something different?
I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather... not screaming and yelling like the passengers in his car.

I think the bg was suiting! She has army like clothes and the bg is a dessert, so she could be in Irac... lol

army like clothes? what clothes? lol, anyways, for some reason the bg doesnt seem to fit to me, but i have no ideas.
how about changing the background color to something more monotone? maybe give it a tan-color layer on top of the background and do color dodge. may make it feel more techno-punk, though, if you dont mind taking it down that path...

With that background you either think its great or apparently don't. I happen to think it works.... I think it gives the whole "I'm an army girl going for a swim!" I'd flip the bg horizontal but the green on the icons side, and move her a bit to the right on the brown.
But if you want to do pookys idea of sepia monotone then don't do that....
her edges are a bit rough I'd Select the layer with ctrl left click, then modify the border 1 or 2 px and blur it a bit, or make it that brown for the outline. (Learned that trick from wizzy).
All in all I like it ^^

i think the bg would be alright if she somehow blended with it better. as it is, she stands out way too much, i'm not an expert on blending but i do know what is appealing, great image, great background, just need a medium
if she was an army girl she would have a set of dog tags. she has a perfect ten figure and her eyes have me mesmerized. right now it does have that Army feel which i kinda like alot. you have too decide if you want to go with a tech-no punk or stick with the Para military.... ether way ill add her to my wall paper files
