MTV cartoons

Well I just got Daria on dvd and it was a good show... amazing since it's a spin off of Bevis and Butthead which even as a kid I couldn't watch.

this got me thinking about other MTV animated series. Celebrity Deathmatch started out okay, but lost something in later seasons.

The Maxx and Aeon Flux (the original Matrix) confused me more than anything else... to be fair I wads about 12 when I saw them.

Some animated music videos are pretty good.

Aside from that... not sure they've done much good. What do you think?

Long time ago they had animation. I don't know about know. I haven't watched MTV in years. Nor VH1

When was the last time anyone here actually watched a music video? I did like them when they were popular, though I thought the video portion took away too much self-interpretation in listening to the music. You got the filmmaker's interpretation in place of your own.

Seen plenty of music videos on Youtube. Its less expensive to do nowadays since theres no tv boradcasting related costs, i think.

Still harping on it, but Interstella5555 is the perfect effort of putting images on music and making a movie out of an album.
