2016 Democratic National Convention

So there was the Republicans last week, now it's the Democratic party's turn to act like a bunch of hooligans. So far the delegates have already spent the day telling Bernie Sanders "No" and booing other speakers.

Yeah, so this is going to be a fun bunch of dysfunction. What about your thoughts?

So far it's a disaster. Bernie supporters are coming off like uncontrollable psychopaths, the DNC chairman thing is a genuine scandal, and so at a time when Hillary should be getting a bump, Trump is instead pulling ahead in the polls.

I watched about 90 minutes in the early evening when no one of any importance was speaking. Then I had to leave the house for a while. When I came back, I watched some baseball, did my evening exercises, took care of a little business, watched an episode of Ghost Hunt (watch for my review soon), and then watched a little more baseball.

Luckily Michelle, Elizabeth, and Bernie turned the night around and made everything seem much smoother and better with the party by the end of Day 1.

Day 2 was mostly about using the people that relate most to what Trump has bashed, made fun of, or worse to bring to light their struggles and obtain sympathy from voters, and then there was Bill. He started off a little shaky considering his words and his history with scandals, even Rachel Maddow pointed that out quickly. But he pulled it all together in the middle of the speech to show how hard he wife worked for others of lower financial/political/social status, and ended the speech amassed in applause from the crowd in true Bill fashion.

Oddly, Bill Clinton could not be nominate for President by today's Democratic Party. He governed from the center.

Equally odd is how Republican still invoke Ronald Reagan's name. Today's Republican Party would not even let Reagan through the door. He repeated committed the sin of consulting with liberal Democratic House Speaker Tip O'Neal.

Today I watched about 10 minutes. I watched the Cubs-White Sox game instead. It was an interesting one.

I don't know about that. Most democrats that I know of would rather have Bill in office over Hillary or Bernie. But with Reagan, yeah he'd be seen as a socialist commie liberal today by the Right.

I would rather have Bill than Hillary or Grandpa Bernie. But I don't think I would feel very welcome last week in Philly.

I don't think Ms Clinton is worthy of being president. But Trump is totally disgusting.

So I will form my own party -- The Groucho Marxist Party! We believe in the redistribution of wealth by having people say the secret word (or woid) so a duck comes down and gives them $50.00.

Let's see how many can get that reference.
