In all seriousness, I haven't watched the anime but I plan on it.

The animation for this looks sick, almost futuristic. I'll try to watch W after I get through with ONE PUNCH MAN.

So so far I am really enjoying Dimension W. It is only 4 episoded into the series and it is already a great watch and story progression. Mabuchi is a class act, and I like how he interacts with his Partner Mira who is a super computer built by the person who created the link to Dimension W.

Synopsis:

In the year 2036, a fourth dimension, W, is discovered and is shown to feature a gigantic supply of renewable energy. Deciding to harness its power, all the governments of the world create fusion reactors called coils, which take the energy and shift it into power plants, thereby creating a permanent energy source for the world. However, by the year 2071, coil technology has been monopolized by a company named New Tesla Energy, and soon illegal, dangerous coils begin to spring up from an unknown source. With New Tesla unable to stop the rise on their own, groups of people known as "Collectors" set out to confiscate the illegal coils themselves. Among the collectors is Kyoma Mabuchi, a progress-hating loner who one day stumbles upon Mira Yurizaki, the gynoid "daughter" of New Tesla's ailing founder, who is initially powered by an illegal coil. With her father having committed suicide to avoid capture, Mira decides to join a reluctant Kyoma and his group in their quest to find illegal coils, in the process discovering shady business involving New Tesla.

Well, it's published by Square Enix, so of course it's the same premise as Final Fantasy VII lol

Not entirely. So far it has been really good and the action is cool. It is still in it's infancy being the first 4 eps and all, but it will build up. I might start reading the manga just to see if it gets better. I have heard different things about it.

Actually, I wouldn't watch this anime if it weren't for Mira, the cute, lime haired Robot, who is the most interesting character, and oh, she's just so cute too. Otherwise, it's OK, and worth watching.

Another cute little android! But Kyoma is a pretty good anti-hero character. So far I like it, but I will reserve final judgement.

For those who have not seen it, it is now running on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim/Toonami. If you have On Demand, you can probably catch up on the past episodes before the next one airs this weekend.

I watched this while I was looking for some between series and I ended up watching the whole thing. I actually enjoyed the storyline but I fid feel it was missing something. If there is a second season I would watch it.

You post made me do a quick web search. Season 2 is considered to be a high possibility. That's all.

It was a good series, but I also felt it could have used a bit more more.

A possibiletter season 2, eh? It will be interesting to see how the show develops. I can't quite put my finger on what the show was missing but it definitely lacks something.

Well, I think maybe it was a haphazard development to the second half plot. We were introduced to several new characters without ever being given a detailed backstory. Maybe the second half of the first season should have been the entire second season so we would get more background.
