Steven Hawking says that we could use a black hole to solve our energy crisis.

I would think doing so though would be EXTREMELY dangerous, because you'd have to extract energy from it without getting sucked into it. I can't even imagine TRYING such a foolish thing. What do you guys think. Would this be a good idea, or not?

It seems like a good concept in theory, but like Prof. Hawking said there would be no way to contain it. Hopefully this concept does get explored further but we shouldn't be jumping the gun until we have more research.

Because creating a black hole would be excellent.
Maybe with more research and very high safety protocols. Stuff like that though makes me nervous, because some scientist that doesn't have regulations could come in and do it anyway then we'd all get sucked into a black hole and cease to exist.
It's a very cool concept though.

I mean, getting near one would mean instant death.
It sure is possible in theory however, doing it would never be in our grasp. Not even in a hundred years. Let's face it... not even light can escape a black hole. Creating our own black hole... well, one failure would be the certain end of this planet and I don't think any world leader would approve of that idea.
