since shonen anime is geared towards young adolescent/teenage boys, most shows recycle a lot of positive subliminal and overt messages, as well as cliché dialogue that might appeal to that crowd. what are some of the most tired lines that you're sick of hearing from shows like Bleach, Naruto, One Piece and Fairy Tail?
the one i've always hated is:
"You think you've defeated me, but I haven't even begun to use my real power!"
[dramatic transformation/power-up scene]
"Ha ha ha, now you don't stand a chance!"
yawn. why does every fking bad guy from every shonen anime ever have some secret "true power" that they don't use until they start losing? Cell has three forms, and Frieza has FOUR! they're just plot devices used so that every minor character has a chance to fight the bad guy before Goku/Gohan womps them.
anyway before i go off on a tangent, what's yours, af?
