Ignoring the myanimelist statistics, what is the worst anime you've watched from the years 1999 - 2014? Why?

Gokujo.: Gokurakuin Joshikou Ryou Monogatari, because the MC is basically a bully, even to her friends. For no reason other than being a dick. Other characters let it happen when she bullies them. Plot doesn't go anywere, but it doesn't really have to since its a slice of life school setting. ... You basically gotta see it to understand.. although people have been giving this show high ratings because its supposedly "funny". Well, i guess thats up to everyone to decide for themselfs.

For 72 minutes total, it felt like a complete waste of time. (To me)

Akame ga Kill - they keep killing of the cute babes and it makes slasher movies look restrained.

Well I have never seen an anime made less then 15 years ago, so I would probably say This Ugly Yet Beautiful World since it was so damn boring. I also didn't like Afro Samurai but that is for stylistic reasons.

it's not for me. i have no intention of buying something that i could see online for free. i can understand a collector's point of view but it does nothing for me.

That's understandable. It all boils down to how much you enjoy your hobby and how much your willing to pay for it. Anime can be an extremely expensive hobby, but damn its satisfying when you buy a new Blu - Ray.

i pay my grandparents $100 a month in rent to cover my use of the internet and other things. i consider that my anime budget - i'm already paying for the internet, and anime is available freely on the internet (i don't torrent it) so...

if i were going to collect something i'd rather it be something i can't get for free, minus the disc and case. like games. that's something i love collecting, because i can't just hop on my ps3 internet browser and search "play Skyrim online." there is a reason for me to shell out good money. i don't have a lot of (any) disposable income so i have to save where i can, and watching anime online is a place i save.

This is pretty much the same with me. I like collecting manga, but that is kind of different since one is a physical item that you flip through and read right off the bat (manga), and one is a physical item you have to play through a physical item to make appear on a physical item lol. (anime)
