Cosplay suggestions!

Hi Forum,
Okay, so it's like this. I'm a medium-build middle-aged man (though I often pass for being in my twenties).
I have the following restrictions on cosplay: I must wear glasses to see, and I wear a full beard, which I may cut for certain reasons (livelihood is one of them), but cosplay is not one of those reasons. Since most anime characters are clean-shaven, this poses a problem for someone like me who might want to do cosplay.
So--any suggestions for a character who has a full beard and spectacles?

Anyway I'll give a shout out to Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop. He doesn't wear prescription glasses, but he wears shades frequently. If you don't have prescription sunglasses they make sunglasses made to fit over prescription glasses as well as the clip things for prescription glasses.

Although you might have to change the style of your beard. However that's probably true for almost any cosplay. If the character has to have your exact type of beard than you'll probably have to post it an accept that you'll probably have a very very small number of options (though you might really be able to rock those options).

That's him in your avatar, isn't it? My wife is a cosmetologist, so she could help with the styling of the beard. I might just have more at the bottom than Jet Black does. I'm not committed to shaving my head just yet, but then again who knows?

There are bald caps as well, though it takes some makeup skill to make those look right.

Hmmmm I suppose that might be why Jet Black is often cosplayed wearing his suit




The hat avoids the hair thing, and the suit jacket simplifies the prosthetic arm, and it's probably altogether easier to put together than the rest of his normal outfit as well.

Although renting or buying a suit wouldn't be the cheapest. But if it looks good on you than you've just got a sharp looking suit, scarf, and hat!
