Rock sales highest in years, outsell pop and rap by a very large margin.
Arctic Monkeys, Neon Trees, Mumford & Sons, and indie/folk rock lead the charge, followed by metalcore acts such as Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Bring Me The Horizon, and more. The dark horses of them all have been the rapidly bourgeoining wave of (oddly non-alternative for once) retro/throwback bands such as Ghost BC, Jex Thoth, Blood Ceremony, and Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats alongside neo-psychedelia/spacey alternative such as The Temples, MGMT, Tame Impala, Goat, and more of the sort.
So basically, it's cool to like rock again. About time.
Will we remember the 2010s as the decade of banjos, footstomps, Black Sabbath clones, and modern day Strawberry Alarm Clocks?
