    Default Who remembers the Anipike?

During the infancy years of the internet in the 1990s, long before myanimelist, there was anipike.com. I remember this used to be THE SITE for anime. It was mostly used as a means of linking fansites of anime of the time period. Some of the sites now listed are unfortunately gone. But this website is still a part of my personal anime fandom. A good percentage of you are relatively new to anime so you came in at a time where the anipike was becoming less and less prevalent. It got me into some other hit titles of my era such as Akazukin Chacha, Magic Knight Rayearth, Cardcaptor Sakura, Ghost Sweeper Mikami, Flame of Recca, and a good number of others. I remember an old book published I think in the late 1990s and 2000s about the history of anime said that the anipike is the best source in anime and I now see many fans of today are not aware of it.

I just like to see if anybody else here remembers anipike and if they actively used it.

Honestly, no. Though, I just browsed that site for like 15+ minutes and noticed its forum had 60+ members online. I'm guessing mostly bots?

    mememe.

I never actually used it though. However, whenever I come across a website that looks like it was built in 1997, a wave of nostalgia comes over me.

I didn't know about the term "anime" or what was covered under its spectrum until 2001 or 2002, and I never really ran into anipike. If I did, I don't remember. Most of the places I got my information from was fansites that I used to look up pictures of my shows.

I'm really wanting to watch 90's/early 2000's animes now.
No power in the 'verse can stop me...
