Wanting something more

Have you ever wanted something more in life, craving excitement and adventure, away from today's society and world? If so, then would you consider leaving your current life behind now, and jumping into a portal which will lead you to a more Elder Scrolls/J.R.R. Tolkien/Shining Force type world? Please, say what's ideal to you.

Well, with the way my life is now, I say why not? So what if I have my head in the clouds? I'm a Pisces after all. In any case, one of my desires is a more rpg like life, being a wandering mercenary in a medieval setting, hacking and slashing monsters with swords, making gold, drinking in taverns and triumphing in my glories. I can't imagine myself being stuck on a farm either (not that I am), so I understand some young peoples' desires to do more than just go out and see the world (example, Erik from Skyrim).

yes I want more out of my life but not necessarily a fantasy life, I just have regrets in the past that if I could go back I would re-do a bunch of things to make sure I was happy with my life and it was just how I wanted it later on down the road.

I have some regrets that I would like to go back and change, but I wouldn't want my current outcome to change. I'm pretty content living a normal, boring life.

I think I've passed my fantasy days...mostly but my adventuring has taken a different feel but still very much alive

Yes. I would actually prefer to be an anime character living in the anime world or at least when I'm walking somewhere, i'd much rather walk through some mysterious area full of cybernetic machinery, something like the enrichment sphere in portal 2. Basically something which looks more interesting or appealing to me

I think this life is actually something amazing though, to be living in a world with over seven billion people is actually magical but my current problem is that I'm doing something I literally hate with all my heart.. i'm literally in the process of CREATING regrets but I just have to continue for now.. Bloody hardships

Seriously it's never to late to start taking control and making life just how you always wanted it. Life will through unlimited chances at everyone. Don't hold onto such regrets, just leave the past behind you, it's nothing! Personally I think the only relative thing from the past is whatever skills you've grown and whatever special memories you may have, other than that it's pretty much nothing. In my opinion it's only necessary to think in the moment, the present moment is real and its everything. I used to be pensive a lot about the past and I used to think about the future a lot, but seriously, it's totally pointless.

Although I suppose it isn't that tempting considering that almost every fictional world has extra horrible stuff going on once you outgrow Dora the Explorer.

Anyway if you're interested in some action @Hideki Motosuwa. have you considered the Marines? These days you might even get deployed somewhere that's basically a dark ages setting (and your odds of survival are actually pretty good, well depending on what you volunteer for).

In my expreience, there's no shortage of experiences to be had, you just have to turn the computer off and go outside for a little to have them.

Or, you know, stay indoors and keep spending your time turning blue reddit links purple. That works too, if your're not into the whole experiencing life thing.

Isn't it just human nature to want something more homie? Whether it's monetary, popularity, relationships etc etc. I'm pretty much content with my life right now, good job, good friends, then again im 23 so I'm still a kiddy winkle in the grand scheme of friends so I'll probably want a lot more at some point brah.

If we're being unrealistic though, I would love the life of Tommy Oliver.

That's true, but there's definitely nothing to experience here. This town is very limited, to the point where a lot of people work their hardest to get the heck out. When I'm self-sufficient enough, I'm out of here.

If I recall correctly, you're from Sweden, right Eris? How is it there? I heard a lot of asylum seekers have moved there. Do you think it's the place for someone like me?

Really, any sort of world or life can be just as boring and bad as any other. But, if I had to choose, I probably would rather be in either a Harry Potter sort of thing or out running around all of time and space in a blue phonebox with a certain Time Lord. OO! Or, even better, Wonderland, but The Looking Glass Wars version. Now THAT would be awesome!
