...... getting real tired of your crap nintendo..
So a massive brick you can't fit in your pocket is an upgrade? Now I know the regular ones barely fit but at least they did. This makes no sense and I don't see many people getting it.
It looks like a step back from what I can see.

I can see -why- they would do it, a lot of people complain about the 3D giving them headaches............but damn is it ugly.
Also, isnt Pokemon X&Y coming out the same day? Something smells fishy....
... Myeah, this feels like a four-month-overdue April Fools' Joke.
It looks like a WiiU GamePad with two screens. Why would anybody buy this?
Query, does the 3DS play DS games?
... 'sides, if I'm ever gonna get a 3DS, I'm gonna get an XL. Least I can fold it up so I won't, y'know, break the screen by accident like this pad-shaped thing.
The 3ds can already play 3ds games in 2D.. This is eitherr fake or a device made so parents know that their children aren't using the 3ds feature or turning the feature on.

lol dat engrish ;r
... but it's not fake? Seriously? Nintendo are legit trolling by making this pointless thing?
I like the wedge form, this will be perfect! I was looking for a door stop and this comes with added illumination. Bonus! :3
I don't think I'll ever get bored of that avatar. XD 'Cause like... when someone like Tails has a WTF expression his face, it's all the more curious because I consider him to be one of the most tolerant and optimistic characters in the Sonic universe. So if Tails doesn't approve of something that results in that expression (and the 2DS would be an excellent case here), I know that I'm certainly not going to like it.
Anyway... might as well add my personal opinion of the 2DS while I'm here (since I didn't in my last post): I still can't believe this so-called 2DS is not some kind of Internet prank, seriously... but for the sake of argument, let's say it's not; then, why Nintendo suddenly decided to announce a limited version of the 3DS is totally beyond me, especially given the fact that you can effectively turn any 3DS in a 2DS by simply disabling the 3D feature via the built-in Parental Controls. More bizarre however is the fact that the 2DS simply doesn't fold. From a liability perspective, I can kinda get why Nintendo would release a 2D-unfoldable version of the 3DS ('Cause we can't have ikkle-wickle children developing early eyeball cancer and trapping their fingers in hinges now, can we, Mr. Nintendo?); but seriously, a dual-screen handheld that you cannot even fold to protect, prevent dust build-up, or put in your pocket when unused? I mean, if the 2DS is supposed to be aimed at kids rather than adults, then surely that's all the more reason to make it foldable, not exposed to the point that it could be easily broken if dropped or sat on.
People complain about the 3DSXL for being barely able to fit one's pocket, but at least it's justified by a screen of desirable size; and it's not like the PS Vita fairs any better in this department. Besides the 3DSXL does fit into pockets; it just depends on the size of your pockets! Personally I don't like the idea of putting any handheld into my pocket; for I'm afraid that I might just forget the thing's there on laundry day and consequently kill it by washing machine. No, I'd much rather carry it in small case...
But the 2DS... no excuse. There's simply nothing on this "handheld" that justifies or compensates for an omitted feature that ought to be a no-brainer for a dual-screen product. That said, I still think this is all a prank; ill-timed to be sure; but I just can't believe that a company with a reputation like Nintendo would be so dumb as to announce, let alone knock up something like this.

To be honest this looks terrible, I don't think I'll be going to buy this in a hurry!
Okay but in all seriousness, having had to deal with a younger sister who was very competent at damaging Nintendo DS's, this does make perfect sense. Those hinges are notoriously easy to break ... but then you'd think that having made the 3DS, Nintendo would have known that the hinges were weak and would have fixed them to make them more resilient. Well, at the least my DSi XL isn't damaged and it's taken several years of punishment in being transported, and I've dropped it a few times as well.
Still, this looks too gimmicky to really sell.
