We shall gather our army.. TO WAR!
Lmao Des, you're subscribed to him?
He's a really cool dude, but can be slightly ignorant about some stuff.
FFS
Gonna go sign a petition again... Guys this is getting old.
"Tell her that I miss our little talks."
I don't think this will pass.
Lol, I remember all the sites here blacked out to go fight against SOPA.
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh, I get this is to spread work about SOPA, but the video is littered with profanity. Can you at least put a warning below the video @Des ?
As for SOPA, I dont see it ever passing. If it does, theres going to be a HUGE storm afterwards

Welp, gather the armies. Between Reddit, 4Chan, and some other third site, SOPA 2:Electric Boogaloo doesn't stand a chance.
My mood on a daily basis
Well, England is already pulling a China on our Internet so even if this doesn't pass then enough stupid Big Brother crap is already going on here.
Sigh.

SOPA won't ever pass so why go to the trouble of gathering ourselves an army?

indeed, that's exactly right. people sent a littany of enraged mail to congress, signed petitions, blacked out websites and generally protested the last time SOPA came up. if we don't do the same thing this time, congress will probably be like "they're not rioting. guess they want us to take their internet privelages and privacy away after all."

Meh, UK porn filtering is worse than SOPA. SOPA is an attack on piracy that could lead to censorship. UK porn filtering IS censorship.
It's easy to get around, doesn't mean I really should be needing to. Heh.
-google's PirateBay's IP.-
-types it in.-

Knowing the citizens, they're going to bring SOPA down again. If it passes, the world will be in utter chaos.

Example of something that is not SOPA. SOPA blocks DNS lookups, which is circumvented by knowing the IP.
The point is, SOPA can be circumvented in cases where the porn filter can not. However even this point is just a discussing the practical as opposed to the principle. On principle the porn filter is blatant censorship with no assumptions needed, while SOPA is only censorship if you assume that the law would be abused. This isn't to say that SOPA is good, but that P-filter is worse.
I know. It was just a demonstration of what censorship in this country is coming to. We got that whole Orwellian thing going on already; even if this new SOPA thing doesn't go ahead our government's already well ahead in putting things in place that are just as bad or even worse.
(I mean I know they're doing this for legal reasons but still, censorship is censorship. Next they'll not let me wear my Parka in the winter >.>)
