You said in your first post that you feel no jealousy, yet that post there screams just that. I don't know if you live in america, but during marriages here, the priest, pastor or whoever will marry the couple will take a moment during the vows to allow any who oppose the union to speak their mind or forever hold their peace. That means people can interfere should so the all parties can know. If you decide to put a ring on it, and your significant other truly loves you, it won't matter who tries to steal her away, you'll have nothing to worry about.
