What is art?

I have a ton of fan fiction to share with the world. But the art section is just about art, there's no written word area I can see. If I missed it, blame the n00b's curse, but where would I post fan fiction?

I have a follow-up question for the senator.

Are banners considered art, or just banners?

I ask because the board says that all art requests are to go to the General Art board, but there is a separate board for banners, hinting they may not be considered 'art'. I want to make a banner request, and just want to be sure where to go.

Also, the vending machine down the hall ate my quarter. You see that cheese danish dangling from the spring, pressing up against the glass? That's mine.

Request go in the Art request section HERE. There you can request any type of thing be Digitalized or Traditional. There isn't a separate board for Banners it's all under the same Art section.

All of which is under art. Banners have their own thread within digital art for those to submit their own banner to our site. Banners are a form of digital art but the request subsection is open to any art related request.

We ask people not to attack the vending machines. While they may be a mite temperamental at times, they have served us honorably and do not deserve physical violence. I find it more effective to simply explain to the machine that by accepting your money it has entered a social contract to provide you with said processed pastry, and as such has to relinquish it.
