ive prefered it
It was the very first anime/anime movie I saw. I didn't even know what anime was at the time. But I loved it.
The story may not be perfectly told, but there's a great charm to it, and that's why I keep coming back to it.
One of my favorite anime movies.
I thought it was some classic Miyazaki. It went on a little long though, and kind of lost the plot towards the end. When even a Miyazaki film gets a bit hard to follow, that's a bad thing.
Yes, yes I do. :3

::sighs:: The original English book by Diana Wynne Jones is much, much, *much* better... I first read it when I was 10 years old-and have read it every year since. When I saw this "anime" I had such high expectations and hopes for it...only to have them *CRUSHED* so bloody hard...Miyazaki's version of it was awful imo...It got nearly *every* aspect of my favoriet childhood book wrong. I broke the disc after I watched it... -_-

I thought it was great! It made me cry.
"Let us enjoy the Rain together. My Umbrella is always open for you. Knowing me is knowing never having to say goodbye. It never stops raining, does it?"
