Does anyone know how long you have to squat in a house/building in New York before you own it?

Sorry I can't say I'm familiar with the laws of New York let alone the state that falls under. Now if you were on about York's laws in the UK I might be able to give you assistance but unfortunately I cannot help you. You could however try the interwebs

I don't know New York.

California changed there's not to long ago I think. At one point I think you only really needed to be there a year or two and to have made improvements to the property in order to get it.

There's a mostly abandoned house across the street from my friends. Makes it nice because you can park in the driveway and not worry about street parking.
