If you are blissfully unaware of the Republican-Democrat partisan artillery, the sequester is part of the 2011 Budget control Act. It says that unless Congress comes up with a plan to cut deficits by $1.2 trillion, across-the-board cuts will automatically go into effect. The sequester will cut government spending by $85 billion in 2013, and according to CBO estimates, will reduce GDP by 0.7%. That will mean $1.2 trillion in budget cuts over the next 10 years. Cuts will be equally divided between domestic and military spending.
What do you think about this? Especially the military personnel we have here.
