However PLEASE ONLY USE IT FOR VIEWING. If you use it for posting, an admin will ban the account very quickly, especially if it gets used for posting stuff that breaks the forum rules.

Well, what's the point of having a public account if you can only view on it? This is a good idea though, I've seen other forums with accounts that anyone can use for posting, though I feel it's risky seeing as how there is the possibilities of trolls.

Or... Newcomers can just check things out as a guest; and/or they can create an account of their own for the small purpose, forget about it for a few years, and then remember it and come back like many have before.

Can't you view the IP of who's been accessing your account somewhere, at least posts? May be a security liability.

Well the solution and simple and natural. I logged into the account and changed the email and password. I imagine it would've happened naturally within the hour of its first use anyway, so I just sped that up a bit.

And I don't really see a point to it, because af isn't setup to be visible to logged in users only, you can read every normal thread and blog without being logged in.

Actually, when I'm logged out, I can't see the blogs. I get this error when trying to view the blogs as merely a "guest" to the forum.
"You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page."

The public account I made was pretty much intended as a way to bypass your blocking of the blogs to non-members, so that even non-members could log-in and view the blogs, even if they didn't want to create their own account.

Aside from Blogs, I don't see the point of this. Also, the Serious forum should be open to anyone really--it's not hard to get 10k gil.

Also this forum doesn't hide links or protect forums (aside from SF).

Well if blogs are members only, then they are members only. I may consider changing that, but a bypass in the form of a public use account isn't going to fly. It'll just end up being banned in relatively short order, if whoever first logs into it doesn't just change the pass/email the way I did.

So please don't do that.
