Hmmm well I was thinking about deer heart tonight, and the pizza thread has me thinking pizza tomorrow. I often don't save the heart or liver from a deer, truth is I usually just forget about it or I dont have anything with me to put them in when I am field dressing. But the last two I got during muzzleloader season were right behind the camp and I walked in and grabbed a bag. Sounds good doesnt it? lol. Well lets see if I can turn it into something actually decent... couple different heart recipes I've been meaning to try.

Itlog = Egg

It's a classic Filipino dish with Fried Chicken and an Sunny-side up Egg to compliment it. Served with fried rice.

I usually have wine with a nicely prepped meal, but had this great beer that costs just as much... Stones's Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale. A very interesting black IPA, and quite strong. Not that the heart was terrible, but I'm glad I had a strong beer with it.

Tonight might better appeal to the masses, and I already posted this in another thread but here is the end product anyhow, some home made pizzas using mostly stuff from my garden:
