Were you a good/bad student?

Inspired by a chat convo, because apparently I was the only good one in there. In highschool, elementary, college, w/e.

Elementary, and highschool, I was the overachiever every teacher wanted in their class. College was 2x that. Middle school was Honey-Badger mode, I don't know what happened.

But yeah, go.

I was one of those people that got good grades but hung out with the bad crowd i guess you would say. All in all, Yes i was a good student.

I was a good bad student..

Made decent enough grades.. But I was good enough to get away with stuff.. My junior year I missed like an entire week of my web design class just to hang out in another classroom. The web design teacher didn't care that I ditched her class or that I used some of her class time to paint a mask on her tile floor. Totally unrelated to web design.

I also frequently ate in all of my classes even though there was a no eating in class rule. :| Om nom nom???

Otherwise I caused no trouble.. I just quietly sat there mostly..

Freshman -> Straight A's.
Sophomore -> Mostly A's, a few B's, one F.
Junior -> Oh, I failed half a semester, this other semester is a surprise.

Oh, behavior wise, every teacher thinks I'm amazing, I'm so polite. I'm usually nice to everyone as well. The only thing I've ditched are pep assemblies, I've also missed a lot of days of schools by being "sick".

I had straight A's all through out high school, but i distracted the class, was a smartass to all the teachers, and just drank and ate a lot. I managed to get away with all the rule breaking only because my teachers loved my grades haha.

I swear I held the record of the most late in highschool. I was even on a hot seat in front of guidance councilor, principal and other administrators that I don't even recognize. They even called my parents there as well and discussed many things regarding my constant and consecutive tardiness... I even made my dad lie about it even though he knows and I know that I was just being lazy...

Despite that, I was always on 1st section and achieved honours by getting above 80 average.

I guess that makes me a so-so student. Third option.

So-so student, I guess. I do get good grades and polite, but attendance-wise, I'm not the top. At all. I got lazy most of the time, and I escaped or just skipped classes. I am quiet most of the time, but apparently some teachers would notice if I was gone, so I got targeted a lot. >.> Good thing my grades are good enough to compensate for the lack of attendance. :x

I seem like a goody-two-shoes on the outside.. But no.. Not exactly.. Im not horrible either just somewhere in between that and always getting into trouble. Grades are mehh too. Couple As, mainly Bs, maybe one C

I'm fairly a good student in a way that I don't give my teachers a hard time. I may need a little push to get me going, but I do the absolute best I can though. I have grades that are good enough to get me to pass, I don't want to excel too much for some reason, even though I have the chance to do so. Socialization with others, I'm pretty good with most people. I had no hard time, but I honestly wish I can do better on things. I miss it a lot, actually.

Generally I was so-so. In class and with tests and stuff, I was an ideal student. But with homework, I always either forgot or couldn't be bothered to do it. Failed a lot of classes because of it but meh. Too late now.

Aside from elementary school. Then I was an ideal student. I've always been smart enough to pass my tests and do great in class and I've always been a bit of an insufferable know-it-all when I can (a la Hermione Granger), but I failed a lot of my classes anyways because of the problem with Homework.

Though in 12th grade I became sort of a teacher's pet in a few of my classes, unintentionally. Especially in English and creative writing. I just got along really well with the teachers and was just about the only person in at least one of the classes to even know what we would talk about. Actually had a crush on one of them after a while.... ^////^

I was a horrible student.. hung out with the skater crowd. Always failed all my classes till mid quarter then I actually hit the books.. always had c's nothing more .-. Always under suspension or in detention.. loved fighting. Not gonna lie I'd do it all over again if I could

I most of the time always attended class with a near perfect attendance with a few exceptions. But my grades were just average, I didnt enjoy studying and reading that much really and it showed in my grades since I was no genius who could float by without hard work. Basically I was just there, did what I was supposed to do, nothing more, nothing less. Until I reached 11th grade and had lost all my energy and motivation and dropped out. I later on mended the dropping out part but it sure took me some years to do.

I didn't have the best grades or a lot of friends back then, but i never caused trouble. I drew a lot back then in class, and often somehow a lot of people would steal my drawings out of my locker, and claim them as their own(which ticked me off). A couple time it got me in trouble because the drawings that were taken out of my locker were either said to be "explicit"(most of the time it was unfinished), or one time a drawing that was labeled "disturbing" by the vice principal in middle school. I almost got into deep trouble because of that, but luckily my art teacher got me out of trouble. After that "disturbing artwork" situation, people stop stealing my artwork(which was good) but in return people wanted to stay far away from me. I entered a few at contests and some writing contests, and won 7 of them.

My first year of high school was horrible. People hated me just because of the fact that my brother was one of the popular seniors, and i was nothing like him. Didn't learn much since teachers kept going on strike, and a lot of times we were put in the auditorium and watched movies. One time someone held a gun at the back of my head in the luchroom and went on about how "people like me should die a painful death", and people acted like nothing happened.(Not even the undercover cop that was sitting near the door that was watching it happen.) Luckily the dude didn't blow my head off, but i did nothing to this guy. I didn't know ho he was. Went to the principal's office about it, he didn't care. The police obviously didn't care, so i ended up having to t go to another school.

So i went to this other school in the suburbs, and things got better. Didn't have any major issues, other than the uppity people that went to that school. Made some good friends, and had a lot of enemies. I had to go to summer school to make up for my first year of high school. I only skipped school twice: Once to go to an art gallery that was close to my school, and another time i went to a comic shop with a few friends of mine, and we hung around the school park just reading comic books, drawing and listening to underground rap music until it was time to head home. It was summer school so nobody really cared. Other than that, high school was okay.

So in a sense, i guess i'm not really either?

I always did well in exams.... but mostly bad. I sometimes had vodka in my water bottle, never wore uniform and always wore heels. Usually had a fashion mag open inside my text book and always talked back to the teachers. Oh and never did home work. I was in the top 10% of most classes (I'm not that smart, everyone else was just REALLY dumb) so I was bored most of the time.

When I have kids I'd consider home-schooling them. Anyone here been home-schooled?

Definitely not a good student, but more due to social stress/discrimination and stigmas more than me myself just being a tool.


Don't really want to talk about how rough my childhood was, but let's just say that there wasn't any other way I was going to end up like given how I was treated.

And yeah, last I heard that Math class door is still broken after when I smashed the lock up back in 2000. Legit.

I'm probably just a little below average. I dont get straight F's or D's. I try to get decent passing grades. I dont study super hard or anything either. I have extreme deficiency in math. It's posing as a huge problem because I need to pass these math classes in order to graduate. It's required.

Started off good in college, bombed two semesters, and since then it's been A's and B's again.

Hopefully I can finish this last semester with all A's. Trying to bring up a crap GPA sucks. Don't follow my bad example! D:<

I was a bad student when I was really young, but something clicked about seventh grade and I was a great student after that, usually top of the class or near.

I did get a B in college. I blame falling in love.
