I remember a few years back there was a anime show on cartoon network's adult swim, but cant remember the name. I cant remember exactly what it was about, but i'll list what i remember about it.

1: it was about a kid who was hated by the townsfolk because there was a kid who looked just like him that went around beating people up with baseball bats

2: he had romantic encounters with what seemed like a mystical older female, 17-20 years old.

3: at the end of this one episode i watched, the city was nuked... if i remember right.

Was the kid that beat people with a baseball bat called Lil Slugger? It's been years since I last watched it, but yeah, I believe you're thinking of Paranoia Agent.
