Open a window before you take the screenshot.
Lol
The thing is, Mint has a support forum (like every operating system and program), and you usually get answers in the relevant forum a lot more quickly than elsewhere.
Here you go: http://forums.linuxmint.com/
All right i will look at that
How does one patch KDE2 under FreeBSD?
This place should be as good as any to ask if the meme lives up to its meaning.

When all else fails, you can try two things:
- scrot
- xwd + convert (obscure)
The latter should come with X11 (if you have a windowing system, you have X11). Here's how you can use it.
From a terminal:
Code:xwd > screenshot.xwd # Click the window (or desktop) you want to screenshot convert screenshot.xwd screenshot.jpg rm screenshot.xwd
If your distro doesn't come with it out of the box (most do), get imagemagick. It comes with a program called import. If you have convert, which nslay's suggestion uses, you have import, as it's part of the same package.
You sinply run
$ import screenshot.png # or .jpg, whatever
Either drag a box to screenshot that box, or click a window to screenshot the window.

I am also using the Linux and i have facing the same problem from so many days, but till now i don't have solution for that. Generally for screnshot when i pressing the print screen button, then that screen is flashes, but it doesn't appear. So if anyone have solution for this, please inform me, thanks in advance.
