    Default Favorite IDE

It's a rage-filled night, so time to spend it on the forums.

For all you people who are doing of the programing, what IDE is your favorite? Any language, free or paid, I don't care.

The two IDEs I need to use for school are Eclipse and XCode, the former being mainly a Java IDE (but with extensions for a LOT of other languages) and the latter is an Objective C IDE.

I've been using Eclipse since before I started in school and it is by far my preferred IDE for ANYTHING, much less just Java.

I only use XCode because you can't use anything else to build or deploy iOS apps. It has an interface much like iTunes. That is good for iTunes, not so much for an IDE.
    Less is more.

Eclipse for Java, Netbeans for C++.

Eclipse's C and C++ support is just dismal, it's remote compilation support is pitiful, and C++11 support is dodgy at best :-(

Netbeans is slow as molasses and a bit weak, but at least it fixes the above issues.

According to me Eclipse, Netbeans and JframeBuilder are the best and fantastic IDE for java and many other languages. Eclipse is the best for the for smaller teams or tight budget, and netbeans is free and fully functional and JFrameBuilder which is really easy to use Java GUI Builder, generating clear java code for making GUI.

I prefer Eclipse. I'll use Notepad++ or GEdit otherwise.
