Well. At the moment I have a W7 machine running. Typing this on a Macbook. I have a netbook running LinuxMint as well.
To list *nix distros I've used before on computers I've owned (not including VMs):
Ubuntu
Kubuntu
Lubuntu
Debian
Mint
Arch
CinnArch
...more Debian...
Solaris (not linux, I know, meh.)
Edit: To expand the point out more, every OS has it's strengths, and in my personal opinion, if you do not have a basic competence in at least 2 of the 3 major "os branches" (NT era Windows OSes, XNU era Apple OSes, Unix/Linux OSes), I consider you computer illiterate. No offense meant...

Less is more.
I've used:
FreeBSD
NetBSD
OpenBSD
DragonFlyBSD
Linux (Gentoo, CentOS, Fedora).
I mostly use FreeBSD at home.
I'm constantly on windows. I just can't get off them. They're so shiny and glass-like. Sometimes they have curtains, and it's just amazing.

I'm still on Windows 7. I've used Macs for computer courses, and I use Ubuntu on my laptop (which I rarely use).
KDE can be glassy too
I am always prefer the windows operating system only, because for so many years i am using all versions of the windows and recently i am using the windows 7. It will supports the all software and applications and gives the best performance, i am totally satisfied with this one. But ubuntu also provides the best security to us.

i belive my laptop operates on windows 7
live life to the fullest because you are not guarantied a tomorrow
Windows 7 on my laptop. Tried Ubuntu a few years back. It was pretty cool, and I had a specific reason for going back to Windows, but I forget.
At work I work on a Mac. I don't mind it, but I don't see the hype behind it that all my peers make.
I'm currently on Win 8, but it's kind of weird. I like a lot of it's features, but the UI bugs me. It does start up/shut down and run smoothly, however. None of my devices/programs had a problem.
But ... ugh, solid windows, no opacity? ... no thanks. Seems like a small gripe, but it's distracting and kind of hurts my eyes.
Windows 7 is looking good to me right about now.

My main OS is Windows (Me, XP, 7 and 8 <-- all at the same time, since I have too many PCs from different generations o_o;; ), but other than that I've tried FreeBSD, DOS, various Linux distros (the ones I've been on the most are probably Debian and Knoppix) and the latest MacOS (I'm forced to use at school). I'm pretty sure that I forgot some, but from all the ones I've tried, Windows has proven to be the most reliable and best match for my needs.
I dual boot Windows and Linux at home and at work.
Hey look, Japan made a movie about me!
Always stuck with Windows. Probably always will, it has everything I need
(Although I did briefly have a Linux when I had to change computer at one point)
Windows all the way. Why? Probably because most computers comes with it. I looked for the cheapest 15inch screen laptop I could find and vollá, it had Windows 7. Besides I liked Windows XP too. Havent tried the others tho so cant really say lol. Apple prob too expensive <_<
I have Windows 7 and I have a virtual machine for the sake of using Linux.
Linux has a nice design and a novelty to it.
Windows just is easier to deal with. It has less issues you have to worry about, and there are various windows only programs I like a lot.
I still run windows, I would get a Mac but those things cost a lot. T-T
I'm on Windows 7 still, tried out windows 8 and it just feels... well... a tad counter-intuitive, I can see how the smart glass menu would be nice if I were using a touchscreen, but seeing as I'm not, it makes things pointlessly convoluted in contrast to the typical start menu windows 7 has, therefore I prefer windows 7. On two more notes, windows vista was a total nightmare, windows xp was beautiful up until service pack 3, which made pcs have constant c architecture runtime errors. Anyway, my point of all this being, I actually like windows quite a bit, excluding only windows vista, windows xp service pack 3, and windows 8; so, as I stated, I'm currently on windows 7 and probably will be until a new windows release following windows 8, assuming that it's actually good lol.
I am using Linux and Windows on same system.. I love linux more as it wont let in any virus and even you get good internet speed in it
Still need Windows at home in order to procrastinate appropriately with all my Steam games and whatnot. Dual-booting with linux (switched to Fedora from ubuntu recently) since I still need to do work at home from time to time.
All the terminals at work/school are running kubuntu, and my laptop only has Windows7.
