My First Proper Anime Image

Hi All

I'm usually pushed for time but I had a lot to spare over this Christmas period so I decided to have a go at a proper anime art image. I decided after completing Halo4 that I should whip up a Cortana. Anyway, it was very enjoyable and relaxing so I figure I should find time to make more.
I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts and comments. I like to think that the more I learn, the better I can make my artwork, so any tips on how to improve would be much appreciated

Being very new to this community it would be nice if anyone could give me an idea of what films are worth watching, or what comics are worth reading in order to inspire the direction of my future artwork projects.

what kinda art u wanna get into? anime style? or something which is somewhere between anime and realism?
