I taught myself BASIC on my old Commodore 64. I was fairly proficient with it, too... but that was decades ago. I got out of programming.
I've got a book on assembly lying around somewhere... I should probably read it sometime.
i think mine was Skynet++TermDeth. yea... thats the one

Python is the only programming language I know.
I only know some C#
Set by Serated
old me is old so the first language I got to use was LOGO basic with the turtle graphic doing fractals on a 386 pc with colourless screen, no HD just a floppy disc with MS-Dos in it ahhahaha in mid '90s
The first language I learned was Java.
How do people get exposed to Lua?
Java right here, Currently making a game. Getting this annoying bug and when ever i fix it, A lot more appear. I hate games. I FREAKING HATE MAKING GAMES AFNDJN
We have such a place here: http://www.animeforum.com/showthread...gramming-Links :P
Ugh, my bad. They changed the URLs. They are fixed now.
I just started learning programming so the only language that I know is python. I am going to invest some time in learning more of it so I can at least say that I am proficient with it.
C++. Now I program in C and OpenMP mostly, looking into Objective-C programming once I submit my thesis on Xeon Phi programming.
well i'm pretty good with java now, my first language was C, honestly I prefer java though since I dislike pointers and all thatt memory allocation crap
JVM ftw

Games are the worst thing of all to program. As I once said... I love playing games but I hate making them xD
Java was my first.
well I self taught myself Basic, took a class on Visual Basic the year after, then a semester after took a class for C++(my favorite), then the year after(this year) I self taught Java, Python, and a tiny bit of C#, as well as sharpening my skills in C++. I'll be competing in SkillsUSA for the second year(in a row) this April oh and I'm going to be taking an independent study with my programming teacher my senior year of high school(next year). I've also attempted F# although I wouldn't count it on my list yet.
The first programming language I ever learned was Turbo C. I almost failed my first semester and had no idea about computers and IT. Thanks to web development (html, css and javascript), it earned back my interest in programming.
My first programming language is c++. It was quite a nice language to start with.. but the one I really like is java.. dunno why, maybe because I just got comfortable since that was the language I used during my thesis time..
