Plenty of small, thoughtful gifts (perfumes, nail polishes, more Japanese nicknacks for me to hoard up in my room ^_^) and about 250$. I've noticed the older I get, the more money than gifts tend to roll in, but that's all right. I kinda got my actual Christmas present early this year anyway, but only because I REALLY needed a computer. @_@
I never thought I'd say this, either, but I am slightly disappointed that I recieved no socks. :S

I got some pretty neat gifts. A few clothing, watch, giftcards, and electronics, etc.
((Sorry for being so vague.))
Fall seven times, stand up eight.- Japanese proverb
『十人と色。』
I got a new jacket, hoodie, and some gloves.
Also got $200. XD
Oh yeah and some tic tacs.
I got an Extraordinary Chickens Wall Calendar, $25, and a bag of mixed nuts.
Hello kitty pencil set, hello kitty hat, hello kitty box , hello kitty , bakers boots, hello kitty earrings from Tim
dunno what I got from my mom yet, find out Sunday.
I'm still a little confused though. Some 18 months ago, I was a penny pinching grad student. Now I make about twice as much money I spend on rent/bills/food/other necessities of life every month. I'm not complaining, not having to worry about money is nice and all, but it all happened so fast, and I feel a bit lost.
Takes time to grow into the lavish suit of the 1%:er I guess.
Hey look, Japan made a movie about me!
Well, I guess when you have a useful skill that other people really need, it can be pretty lucrative ... depending on what it is, of course.
Still haven't found a way to do that myself. Right now all I have is a part time job, i'm a penny pinching student myself (trying to get that ever popular "degree" in hopes of obtaining an actual career in my field that pays)... it would be nice to not have to worry about money. But that's life, I suppose. You take the good ... you take the bad, however the rest of that song goes

月の光は愛のメッセージ
Clannad DVD, 2x Puella Magi figurines (Homura and Kyoko), shiny new tea pot and herbal teas, rice cooker, a ring, about $300 cash...... and loads more!
I really wish this was a joke, but someone got me a sandwich as a Christmas present.
Let's seeee.... A Toaster oven, a cook book, sunglasses, tights, skinny jeans, Taylor Swift's newest CD, earrings, a charger thingy (I dunno), and a PSP (original) with some games. (this is from all my family not just my parents lol)

"Frustrations will not last forever. Nobody can keep on going without some measure of reward."
Edit: Hit wrong button, this is in reply to the above post.
A family member that is getting a can of soup for their birthday.
I'm mostly on the "giving" as opposed to recieving side of things these days (super cute watching the girls get into their presents though).
Lets see, I got some ties, a desk calendar, a wall calendar, an automatic outdoor floodlight, a can of cashews...and an M&P 15-22. My dad is still big on giving me things like that.
Actually for those of you in the US or someplace with a similar freedoms, a lot of gun owners consider giving a firearm to be passing on values that they feel are important. So with a few hints, someone who might otherwise give you a $30 gift might be more than willing to give you a $1200 gun.
Sort of like a more modern version of "A Christmas Story" that way. This could be you on your next birthday:
At first glance that seems like it should be sent to #firstworldproblems
Why are you disappointed?

@sunnyside because I'm always disappointed! And yeah, it is a first world problem. But really, my parents never know what to get me, ever.
