Today we reached an important milestone in the development of the new Office.

Moments ago, the Office engineering team signed off on the Release to Manufacturing (RTM) build. This milestone means the coding and testing phase of the project is complete and we are now focused on releasing the new Office via multiple distribution channels to our consumer and business customers.

This is the most ambitious release of Office we've ever done. It spans the full family of Office applications, servers and cloud services. The new Office has a fresh, touch friendly design that works beautifully on Windows 8 and unlocks modern scenarios in social, reading, note-taking, meetings and communications. We are proud to achieve this milestone and are eager to deliver this exciting release to our customers.

Microsoft Office 2013 is complete and the guys at Redmond are planning to release it for consumers in the first quarter of 2013, most likely in January. Also from October 19, customers purchasing Office 2010 will get the new Office for free upon availability. Microsoft will also release a preview version of the new Office on Windows RT devices, beginning with the Windows 8 launch on October 26.

I can`t see any futures in Office 2013 that will help me enhance my office skills
Anyone can see anything useful on the new Office 2013 futures ?

There are plenty of new features actually. To name a few you can edit PDF documents (you could only save as PDF in 2010), interact with the cloud or use premade templates. Check the documentation for a full list.

Does it feature SQL Database integration?

Not that I know of.
But why would you want SQL integration in Office? Access doesn't have a wide enough support for it by design anyway.

Everyone knows about the craze and popularity of the office, it released the office 2013, it is having many trendy features. The topmost feature is it is having the capability to handling the pdf files and accepts to open and edit them within the word only. Graphical effects also having very high quality in insert pictures and we can add videos into a word document.

The last time I installed 2013 it glitched out on my while doing my physics lab report I had to revert to the previous version ╭(๑¯д¯๑)╮
