I have to agree. I've been a vampire fanatic my entire life, even back as a little girl I was obsessed with them. I still love them just as much as I always have, but I hate how usually the first thing people ask is if I like Twilight. Edward is more closely related to Tinkerbell than Dracula. Those are Meyerpires. Nothing more. And now people seem to have a warped idea of what a vampire really is. -resisting urge to make comment that may not be acceptable outside of where I live- Good ole Mr. Collins could kick Edward's faerie butt any day.



But that's just my opinion. A lot of people must like the idea of sparkly vampires and I get a sneaky suspicion that won't change any time soon. They can like what they want as long as they don't try to argue with me about it since there's really no way to prove either side is right so it just becomes a big, useless battle to the death.

Nope thats not your fault. But if you know this, why do you even bother with Twilight when you know that it in fact is a love story and not horror? Stick to your horror movies and let the Twilight fans stick to their love story. To each their own ;>

I have nothing against the series when it comes to vampire and werewolves, heck, even the plotline is better than some movies but what bugs me is, the amount of romance in it can make someone sick and almost believe as if it happens all the time. Which in retrospect makes me look like a raging hypocrite because romances like that can happen! (excluding the whole vampire/werewolves things) That's really my only problem, but I suppose it's what people want, and if people are generally happy then I don't see the problem with it.

I don't really have an issue with Twilight, I like it just fine, I've seen the movies, but I don't like it enough to read the book. Personally Interview with a Vampire is much better. ohhhh sweet Louis and Lestat!

I had to read the "book" in middle school. It was terrible. I've honestly never read a worse book or story. The plot is dull and repetitive, there are many holes in the story, it makes no sense in many parts, it repeatedly goes back to how she feels about his fruity donkey (almost literally 90% of the book is her whining about her feelings), it's just an all around stupid, poorly written book.


And it ruined my awesome zelda-inspired screen name =(
