There was just one time in my life I really thought that I was going to be a goner...

 

It was when I was hospitalized for contracting a typhoid fever...

 

But it wasn't the fever that was about to kill me—it was the medication. A doctor of questionable expertise intravenously introduced an antibacterial solution, which we later found out to be an infamous drug that causes insomnia as a side effect. I didn't have any sleep at all for 90+ hours after my fever was gone. It came to the point that I became bedridden at home and I could hardly move my body; I was even coming up with my last words...

 

But I was rushed to the hospital again, and the doctors just gave me some sleeping pills and sent back home; I don't think they took me seriously. And I really thought that it was already too late; I took the pill and slept, thinking I won't wake up again...

 

Damn I was alive the next morning! I'm not really a religious person but, it felt like it was a miracle of a lifetime. More than anything, I'm always thankful that I came out alive, although some bouts of depression hit me and made me think otherwise. "Life is beautiful, no matter how much it sucks!"—that's what I still believe.

The worst I've had is a severe Asthma attack, my parents rushed me to the hospital with my siblings, I don't remember how I felt I just remember I never want to experience that again, but I probably will at some point. When we arrived at the emergency room a couple of hours later they told me I had Bronchitis as well, I stayed in the hospital for a couple of days but at least I had just gotten Phantom Hourglass so that kept me occupied.

I had a very high fever when I was younger If I didn't go to the hospital. I don't think I'd be here to this day.

My friend, Vivian, was really nervous at the stage to say her speech....... and and she was fainted.

Me...... I had a hot fever when I was young, at the age of 2. At that time, my temperature rises to 40 degree Celsius. My parents were panic and they just brought me to the general hospital and that time, it was nearly midnight. I can't forget that moment.

When I was a kid I once almost drowned, in the sea. I was never a good swimmer, you see. Well, I'm pretty sure I hate swimming. I mean, traveling on the ship or looking into the sea is awesome, but swimming..in the water...with your body..is not.
Anyway, so, apparently, I lost ground under my feet, moved to far away from the shore and started drowning. Ahh..that feeling of your muscles giving up, and that "what's the point" sort of thoughts...but no way I'd listen to these temprations!
There was a game I had to finish!
So I kept struggling until lifeguard saved me.

Ended up with me drinking a lot of salt water though.

 

Actually, later for a long time I used to hate myself for having something like that as reason to keep on living(and not life in itself) but even later I realized that existence for existence's sake is "doing it wrong" and my 9 year old self was right for living to finish a game.

Well when the thing you rely on the most to live is abnormal, then you basically live on the brink of death all the time.

I was born with heart problems. Lived my whole life with it. Occasionally it likes to make itself known that there is an issue with it and it's not normal. It's painful and worrisome when it chooses to remind me. It's sad though because I already know that I have a high percentage chance to die of heart failure whenever I do die. So it's just like.. "welp"

Though I was sure I was going to die once when I got in a car with a friend. They kept speeding around trees and I was so terrified I messaged another friend and was like "dude, ____ is crazy, I'm going to get in a wreck" He didn't and I'm safe.. However later on the kid got into two very nasty wrecks. The last one was a pretty major one.

Well, the first time I tried 'shrooms, a friend brought this delightfully bright red mushroom he just picked up in the woods and he said it was the stuff, but in case he was wrong, we'd get no trip just death in 4 hours. After a few hard dares, I was the one who ate the most of it, raw. No effect yet, so everyone left me home alone. After I got up the chair, I started feeling really weird, and that's when I figured I was probably a goner. I tried texting one of them, writing something like "i watn hospital" but I realized I can stabilize my condition by power of thought, so I laid in bed, controlling whatever my visions were. Woke up the next day, rested and ready for work, realizing I never sent the SMS.
