Ever wonder what happened to those three jutsu?

Seriously what ever happend to the substitution, clone, and transformation jutsu those are the three classic essential ability a ninja must have not matter what universe they're from. I mean you have a guy charging at you with a fist full of lighting what do you do? A) Stand there and marvel at the jutsu and take like a man. B) Let somebody jump in front of you to take the hit like boss or C) Subtitute yourself with a log saving yourself and your ally... 8(becuase zabuza picked B) out of 10 time ninja's from naruto choose choice A

It's like everybody forgot how to use them when they get promoted from genin. Its kind of sad how its actually mostly naruto himself who still uses them the "most" and effectivly too(except for the basic clone jutsu but he has the shadow version but you guys already knew that).

So what do you guys think?

I'm guessing that shinobi above the academy student level are observant enough to see when some one is performing the jutsu so it's not used as often. It would be crazy if they could just replace themselves with a block of wood without arousing any suspicion while some one is staring at them.

Yet naruto easily replaces himself with his own clones and out smarts shinobis with it who are many times his better and he's been doing this since he was twelve. You also have to remember in naruto they can replace themselves with others thing besides logs an example would be durring the first bell test where kakkashi replaced himself with the real naruto when he was captured and surrounded by narutos clones. As for tranformation were used effectively against the third hokage(stealing the forbidden scroll), zabuza(releasing kakashi from the water prison), kiba(fooling kiba into taking out akamaru), and pein(hiding his army of clones close enough to disable peins shinra tensei).

No thats not what type of justsu she does She's a medical so if she needs to fight she just wack a good punch like in school we all learn the alphabet but do we all become an author?

Sakura actually did use it during the chunin exam against Ino and that was long time ago. Its just dissapointing that she no longer uses none of them anymore. She has been in many situation where one of the basic three jutsu could've easily gotten her out of tight pinches intead of waiting for someone like naruto to save her.

He doesn't really replace himself. He just mixes himself with the clones.
Also, like you also said. Shadow clones have substance and therefor its really easy to mistake a clone for a real one. Also because naruto makes that much of them its even harder.
Now i don't really know about what im gonna say next but... Neji could distinguish the real Naruto right? Seeing the flow of chakra.

They all got replaced by better variants or have very little actual use in Chuunin and up ranks. I see them as learning the first few letters of the alphabet. A, B, C but you never just use those letters by themselves after you know them. You build on them by creating words and finishing the alphabet. I find them just as a opening for all the ninja students to learn how to use chakra so they can later in the future have the essentials to learning new and better jutsu and have an idea how a jutsu should be used in a given situation.
