New to anime character names. What / who is this?

Hello, all. I enjoy anime but I'm terrible with the names of characters and different types of images. I know this isn't technically anime but figure this is a good place to start where I might be able to find someone who can help me. What is THIS (below) cat-face type image called? One person told me "Neko cat" but that doesn't seem to be right. Any help? I'm trying to find a mug like this to purchase but it's difficult since I don't know what it's called. Thanks!

Neko means cat in japanese, so I think just saying cat face emoticon or neko smile or something like that is accurate.
If there is a specific name for it, I'm not aware. There probably isn't one. :3

It looks like a typical mug with a cat face on it. I am sure there is no anime reference there. xDD
