I guess I've been doing Uni all wrong....

I have a love and hate relationship with college. The plus side is that I am free to do what I want when I'm in college (i.e. escaping classes has never been easier), but on the contrary, the assignments/projects/theses/presentations are all killing me. It's not all about parties and flirting and stuff for me. :x

I know this is a commercial and they try to make it look as appealing as possible.

But it's still portraying a false image of what a life of a College/Uni student really is. They make it look like it's nothing Lol

Have to agree, going by my experience... Just like those Territorial Army ads (Yeah right... the training alone will suck the life out of you, let alone the war; just ask my uncle) and those posters seeking payed volunteers for research studies (Sure... you'll be chillin in front of a TV with a PS3, but chances you'll also have put with a discomforting bruised arm full of injections while gaming), they all show this glamourous fantasy of people "chillaxin" when that's not really how it is... not if you want to properly achieve your goals anyway. I mean, yeah... sure in uni, I had as much freedom to mess about, skip classes, and get drunk as much as the next student, but I refrained from those things because I had payed for my course, so failing exams was not an option.

Well, idk... I guess some can study hard and play hard almost simultaneously (Good for them!), but not me... :P

I also work at a University campus, and very rarely do I witness instances of students doing things other than studying--even on their breaks I overhear them talking about their studies, so yeah...

As a university student i can say that it is nothing like displayed in that video. I especially like how none of them do any actual studying. I have around 3200 pages to read and memorize for Constitutional Law only, let alone for all 5 disciplines. And no-one drinks before dinner, that's afterwards.
On the bright side, it is a lot easier to make friends, and i have started going out at night which was almost unimaginable to me before.

I had like 5-6 hours of work a day at uni. Maybe 8-9 hours near exams. Got good grades and a well paying job. I'm sad it's all over.

Yeah, i don't think i am gonna get good grades at all. The grade average on all classes is 11/20, and, notice how terrible this is, if you answer all the questions in the exam correctly the teacher wont give you more than a 16/20. And lets not talk about Constitutional Law where 85% of the people fail.
