    Default アメリカ人

If this shouldn't be a thread, my apologies but the AF app crashes whenever I try to make a new blog entry.

    私はアメリカ人です。オレゴンですんでいます。とても木がいます。それは、とても雨があります。トレーラー の中にすんでいます。ちょっと小さいです。それは、中にとてもさむいです。私はペットがいます。ペットがね こです。ねこの名前はグリッムです。お母さんもねこがいます。彼女のねこの名前はキキです。

Any corrections or responses would be greatly appreciated.

Well, you mostly use basic sentence structure but you are doing pretty good

    オレゴンですんでいます
    Instead of で, use に

    とても木がいます
To say "There are a lot of trees," it is たくさんの木があります。Sometimes you can use とても, but it is mostly used to mean "very." Like the trees are very beautiful 木はとてもきれいだ。 And when you say "there are," "have," "has," you only use います for people and animals. For non-people and non-animals, you use あります instead. When you said you and your mom have cats, you used います correctly. But when you say you have a bicycle, you say 自転車があります。

    それは、とても雨があります。
When you want to say "There is a lot of rain," you should say 雨がよくふっています meaning "It rains often." It is a common Japanese expression.

Thank you so much. I was confused whether to use います or not for trees since they are technically living things. Your tips are very helpful. Obviously I'm a bit rusty. I only know basic sentence structures so I apologize if it seems choppy and sort of robotic.

Well, native Japanese people I know use あります for trees and that's how I learned it. Particles can be a pain at times. There are more advanced sentence structures where I am confused in using は or が. I studying to take level 1 of the JLPT and it contains soooooooo many words, kanji, and sentence structures that not even native Japanese people use.
