I presume there's a school uniform thing in effect, but did they extend the requirements to hair, makeup, shoes, accessories, etc? Or is it different on regular school days and this was a special thing for graduation?

I guess it's just strikes me as odd and military-like to see so much uniformity. But that could just be me being used to American culture and diversity, well, and how Anime depicts Japan.

Well, school uniform regulations depending on the school can or can't be enforced. In Jr. Highs, they are much more strict about it. Such as always having to keep your grozit tucked in, skirts can't go higher than the knee, etc.

As for hair, if the hair exceed the neck for girls, they have to tie it. I know some schools can be strict with hair length to boys though there are a couple of boys at my school with long hair. I am moving to a new school next month and that will be a surprise.

Having moved to the east coast I, of course, have one too (my wife said I'd look ridiculous around here in a duster; she's probably right).

Mine looks like yours, I like the straight black for the jacket and buttons and that style of lapel works well with a tie.

Which is to say you're lookin' good. :P
