How old is too old?

Being a huge fan of Halloween I need opinions from the AF community. How old is too old to go Trick or Treat on Halloween night? Being 19 I wonder if I can use the excuse I'm taking my brothers trick or treat and I'm just a kid who hit puberty early.. lol.

But in all seriousness, how old is old?

you're never too old to dress up or scare the shyt outta kids. But actually begging for candy id call quits at about 18. But you're also never too old to steal handy from the little kids.

You're never too old for candy...you play it off nicely with your siblings and you're good to go.

Say it's for a sick sibling if you REALLY want candy but to be honest. Don't really pay attention on what people say.... just do what you gotta do.

But I wouldn't do it cause I outgrew the idea but if you still feel like you want candy then whatever, go for it.

I'm 20.. I'm hosting a small halloween party this year. I dressed up as Pinkie Pie and went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party a few weeks ago. You're quite frankly never too old to dress up and enjoy the holiday. As for asking for candy, unless you're with friends.. Eh...

Well you can always use your little brother's as an excuse, but honestly one can never be too old! Though once you get about 21, it goes from trick of treating to haunted houses and halloween parties with alcohol. But you can still take your little brothers trick or treating until they think there's too old for it. If you still need excuses, you can do join Big Brothers and Little Sisters (or something like that), and take them trick or treating. ;P

There is no age limit. Fun's fun when it's halloween. I won't be ToT'ing this year but I'll take my lil siblings around while wearing my scream mask haha.

I don't think there is really an age where you should stop dressing up but as far as going door to door, I'd say 18 or 19. People tend to transition from trick or treating to attending Halloween events around that age. At 18, more options become available such as dances, haunted houses, and even parties. Just because you're lacking candy doesn't mean you can't have a good time. If you don't want to go out, you could always have a couple of friends over just to watch horror movies.

you should be going to parties and haunted houses (real ones, not the ones you pay for) and doing other crap
they don't even give out that much candy to trick or treaters that look the slightest bit older than they claim to be
around my friend's neighborhood it's gotten insane, some group of kids went around hitting people in the head with a baseball bat and stealing their candy

I stopped trick or treating young. Maybe around 14 or 13. It was a lot of fun when I lived in New York but it got bland when I moved to the suburbs in Tennessee. Anyway, it sucks, but it's one of those things you have to give up as you age. But honestly, as long as you have an excuse, you're set.

I'm 18, Pfft i don't give out my candy, I eat my own candy. I bought it xD, I scare every single little kid that crosses my path, And I'm flying out to the united states in a few days just to take my little sister Trick or Treating.

At least in the United States they make an effort with celebrating halloween, which is more than can be said for my country (which is why I find halloween dissapointing). Anyways, just because you're of a certain age, doesn't mean you should stop enjoying certain events. If you find me not answering the door though, it won't be because of your age, but because I've no intention of sharing my candy. =P

19 years old is too old to trick or treat, you had your youth to get free candy. Now you have to steal it like the rest of us adults.

I think 18 is the limit. At that age, one really should be going to parties and such. Plus, begging for candy belongs in the realm of children who don't get too many chances to gorge on candy. We adults can get candy whenever we want to, so why beg for it? Let the kids have their fun.

Plus, trick-or-treating cuts down on my partying and drinking time. Why spend time in the cold air begging for treats when I could be sipping on a candy corn martini?

I'm 22 and want to go Trick o Treating for as long as I'm able to walk.

Either that or say, "eff it" and just buy me a big bag of mixed candy on Halloween. ^_^

I guess you can always try...but I'd say at about 16 the funny looks can start, and by 19 you'll get the occasional person who will actually tell you that you're too old or not give you candy.

In any case you're old enough to have some money. Ten bucks will get you enough candy at Wal-Mart to get yourself hospitalized if you eat it all in one sitting.

It's cool to dress up though. See about some Halloween parties, or maybe host one.
