So there's a new user agreement out and appearntly you will not be bale to monetize videos on Youtube from any of their Micrisoft Studios games...this includes Halo 4....so you can't make money of H4 gameplay. You can upload but you won't be able to monetize...and if you are a Youtube Partner, you already know that might as well just not upload it as it's as risky to do it. Pathetic.

SMH Microsoft....just smh.

Makes me think of LucasArts back when their Star Wars MMO was coming out. Supposedly the rights to any and all fan art was automatically revert to them. Not the same, I know, but still smacks of greed.

And how exactly are they going to police the invariable amount of Halo 4 footage that is going to be shoehorned in everywhere on the Internet? OK, Youtube can't half the time even figure out what the damn song in the music videos are. How is it going to recognise a bunch of video and go 'o hey, dat looks liek helo fore, ol ol ol ol lol.'

... So yeah, this is an asspull moment. What next, Codemasters are going to pull any videos about Grid 2? If they did that I would be pissed. I've already permanently boycotted every future Activision game for their asspulling of game franchises... don't give people an excuse to turn to CrApple and *nix, Micro$oft... I'm not above wringing the neck of my computer using Wine to emulate all those games. >_>

I don't think people should be making money of a game they didn't make... it's like when people choose to add ads to VOCALOID reprints and they don't own the content, they're profiting off something else someone did (not to mention I don't like ads), I don't know, just my opinion.

Doing Gameplay =/= Playing a song you don't own.

Might as well say that people that make Photoshop Tutorials or graphic design shouldn't make money either since they are making money using a software they don't own.

Then again I don't know what you meant entirely since I don't know how Vocaloid works exactly cause I never gave half a crap about them (I only was interested in knowing the characters as I am only interested in the design). If it's legal or if it doesn't go against the creators' wishes then I don't see the problem with it.

I am not referring to you but I am talking in general, people gotta stop hating on Youtube Partners and let them do their thing. smh
