Getting elected isn't the problem, getting reelected, now there's the kicker. Any democratic dictator who wants to keep his position needs to stay in line.

You're thinking of massive organized corruption, Illuminati takeover style. That's not what I'm referring to. I'm talking about the susceptibility to bribery under the guise of lobbying, cronyism, pork barreling, that sort of thing.
