New is not always good. You must
work hard (or at least try) to achieve success. You *should* earn it and deserve it. That's not always the case but should is the key word there.
I don't have to prove myself to you! You might think you're such a boss, but if you think I'm going to do what you tell me to then you are sorely mistaken.
I voted and gave a legitimate reason as to why.
I never tried to sway anyone's votes, I simply stated that I was disappointed that people we're actually voting for Entry A because they think it's funny, which is unfair since the quality of a signature is what should really matter. I thought that was the whole point of this, excuse me if I was wrong.
The only 'negative' thing I said about entry A was that it was a joke and shouldn't count. I don't think I was wrong to say so. It's blatantly obvious that the 'signature' was made to be a joke. I could have said worse... besides, it's not like it will hurt their feelings since it is clear that they didn't actually try!
Yes, I agree. I don't base my votes on what other people think, although this still happens, whether it is
apparent that voters are guilty of it or not.
The whole reason BSOTW was brought about was to make it
fair for those who participated in SOTW and could never win due to their lack of experience. So, let me ask, would it be
fair that entry A might win due to lack of effort/somehow funny? Should we have a "Just For Fun Signature of the Week" then? Where it doesn't matter if we actually try or not?
Truthfully, when I first saw entry A I felt like it was 'poking fun' at BSOTW, as if beginners could not make a decent signature. Perhaps it is simply a harmless joke, but it can also be interpreted as demeaning.
That said, the purpose of BSOTW was
supposed to be to
test and improve your skills and, as entry A is for mere amusement, therefore, it does
no such thing.
