Suppression systems for fireamrs in the US are heavily regulated by the Federal Gov't.Originally Posted by sunnyside:2708476

I am not a troll.
It does bother me greatly when I see jacka$$es in the woods being irresponsible with guns though. That's a failure of parenting and education.
Sorry Celiaorirene I hope it doesn't look like I was picking on you, and I too wish the world to be safer.
Eh, I have a Beretta model 96, which uses a .40 cal S&W round. It's pretty much a .40 cal version of the Beretta model 92, which is more known as the Beretta M9. It's a decent gun, I really enjoy it. It shoots well for me being a righty that shoots lefty. Don't have to worry about the rounds hitting me either due to them ejecting so high. I have it for self-defense in my home, and I have 3 11-round mags. So baddies beware. ;P I won't hesitate to make swiss cheese with 33 rounds.
@T-Stew . it can be too safe. Ever walk across the street and almost get hit by a car? Then you start laughing hysterically. "Holy s**t that almost happened!" You never feel more alive than when you know you've just narrowly escaped death.
The world needs a little danger. Keeps it interesting haha
I'd love to get an accurate plinker like the High Standard Victor, but I'd given serious thought to a hand cannon like a Thompson Center Contender for deer hunting. But at the time I decided to get the new 20ga instead.
One of these in a 500 or 460 S&W...
I love how you can swap barrels and grips on the Contender. 14" long pistol barrels and also you can turn it into a riffle with a shoulder stock and 23" riffle barrels. Pricey though. Dad had one when I was a kid in .357 Rem Max (different than the 357 magnum... max was much bigger) but sold it after a wrist injury made it to painful and difficult to shoot large handguns.

Was it that big gun on the second pic that reminds people of a Barrett .50 cal? ;P Kinda hard to miss. lolDid you guys scope that M107-A on the counter in the middle pic?
@sunnyside Target shooting with .22s is wicked fun. Especially when you can make a competition out of it with family. [/QUOTE]
Yeah. I'd really encourage getting ahold of a .22 the first time you introduce somebody to shooting. Fairly practical as well.
.22lr can and is used for self defense. It used to be popular with Mossad actually, that was because it can be very very silent. But it had to basically do the job too.
However you can have issues with penetration and especially fragementation and deflection if you have a less than ideal angle.
As long as the perp. is still on your property when ghetto cops show...you're fine.Originally Posted by DeathBlade/13.666:2709883
And yes..that is a Barrett .50 cal...every guy in the place wants it!Originally Posted by DeathBlade/13.666:2709883
If you don't mind living under the FBI radar for the rest of your life? Suppression systems aren't regulated by them for no good reason.Originally Posted by sunnyside:2709974

In TX the robber has to be on the premises...some counties may take exception on where the perp was shot, as to where they took their last breath. But only a few counties.Originally Posted by DeathBlade/13.666:2709979
The standard arrow head muzzle was replaced on the 107 (latest version), with a round one for suppression compatibility out of the box. $13,000 + will get that beauty off the counter.
Ah, that explains it. Though the idea of a .50 cal having a suppressor is laughable. It'll suppress it to the sound of a .30-06. lolThe standard arrow head muzzle was replaced on the 107 (latest version), with a round one for suppression compatibility out of the box. $13,000 + will get that beauty off the counter.
||Thank you MaruDashi for the great set!||
