    Default Original Animes vs. Remakes

    Hiiiiii

I am def a big fan of FMA Brotherhood over the original FMA. While the original had its strengths, I think Brotherhood was more true to the original series and therefore had more of the authors original implicit message.

That being said, does anyone know of any other remakes that did better than the original?

I wouldn't mind it if some old animes that I want to watch was remade.
Becaus they're almost impossible to find nowdays :| Streaming sucks, even the legal ones for old enough ones.

Generally not a fan of remakes as something tends to get lost in the process.

Default Re: Original Animes vs. Remakes

I think a lot of series' should take a leaf out of what Arakawa-san let happen with FMA, and re-do thier animes to fit thier manga-story lines. A lot of the anime out there would severely benefit by that kind of re-boot IMO. Like Inuyasha, Kuroshitsuji, Sailor Moon etc.

I love Inuyasha character Kagome to death, but there are times I just want to beat the girl over the head with a 9 iron.

They should remake Kuroshitsuji to match the manga... that'd just be EPIC! :3
I've only ever watched two remakes and sometimes the original is better and sometimes the remake is better.

FMAB is the only remake i've seen...i think. lol
However, i wanted to point out that i liked the original FMA's art more and thought ed and al had a more mature feel to them.
However, it was too short and left me with too many questions and that alone is enough for me to say that i prefer FMAB.

Wouldn't call FMAB a true remake since it stick closer to the manga. The original told its own story.

I dont really mind either, if well done, and specially if they are remaking to follow the Manga closer. Like others, there are a few animes I would love to see reboots on, to follow the manga more.
