how do u think anime is useful ???
it makes me feel a part of something bigger and better ...........
it really helps me waste tym during boring classes
I think Anime is useful to me for a lot of reasons. I enjoy it so it makes me happy. Its infinitely better than the garbage on the network television channels. The depth of the shows is good for critical thinking. It exposes me to cultures outside of my region and I believe "variety is the spice of life"
So yes I find Anime useful in life.
It taught me to be even CUTER ;-P
if i was to chose one anime i would have to say clannad has a lot of life lesions in it. but thats just my prospective on clannad
live life to the fullest because you are not guarantied a tomorrow
Well like everyone else has said it's one thing that make me happy watching and it's something that has opening my eyes to new types of genres that I would otherwise probably not watch.
One anime that has helped me is Gurren Lagann. I've seen it about 5 times now and every time the things that Kamina and Simon say get me inspired to try and better myself. I know it sounds weird, but there's just something about hearing them say to "kick logic out and do the impossible" that makes me feel like I can do anything. It's one of those things that nobody tells me in real life as most people tell me to follow norms and not be myself.
Its entertainment. When i think of something useful, i think of things like money, tools, or other things that'll assist in me getting what i want. with entertainment being the thing that i'm usually seeking, id say no. Anime is not "useful." But thats based off of my personal definition for what makes something "useful." If I were somehow making money through anime by selling or producing it, i'd call it useful. My Chief told me that anything that helps me profit (i.e. tools, stock, resales, etc...), is an investment. everything else, is a liability. And i'd have to agree with him completely on that.

Well, Anime has taught me how to spell. c:
I didn't know how to spell "vegetable" at first.
While I was watching Dragon Ball Z, I noticed that one of the character's name is Vegeta.
So then I realized that Vegeta is in "Vegetable". So all I have to do is spell Vegeta and add "ble" at the end.
Anime is useful c:
"ᴋᴏᴜʜᴀɪ ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ sᴛʀᴇᴇᴛs, sᴇɴᴘᴀɪ ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ sʜᴇᴇᴛs"

It teaches me about life. And makes me realise there are still good people out there.
May peace bestow this world,
May our hearts unite.
Life may not be smooth as pearl,
But pray for our decisions to be always right.
Life may be hard, it's a big pain in the butt. But hey, who says behind all those pain, can't hide some happiness ?
I think anime has the power to change ones morals. Watching enough anime can definitely give you a different view on things.

Anime can inspire you to go do stuff, if it's that kind of show that pushes hard work- like when I watched Kuroko no basuke, I didn't go out and practice basketball because me and sports aren't a very good combo, but it did inspire me to work harder on what I can do: sing.
Besides that, it can introduce you to new ideas.
Oh, and also, it can change your attitude towards drawing- I gave up on drawing at one point because to draw realistically was just too hard. But when I saw the simple artstyle of anime, I thought 'Hey, I could draw like that, it looks way easier'. And it was in some ways, though I have gradually begun to drift towards realism now that I'm not demotivated anymore.
Yes, it made me feel much more variety of emotions which not everyone can feel. *insert weirdness*
Making me much more happier and jolly in life and how I value my friends and family so much.
And I discovered that I can draw and sing because of anime.
Plus, I discovered that I'm a wizard. *fshshshshsh*

It was anime or collecting human heads.
Anime is a lot like sex. Done right it's a beautiful act of creation that brings a little more light into the world. If it's sick and wrong... it's even better.

Anime help me a lot in my Japanese lesson. Plus, it's really entertain and help me to know what a real life is.
I am an avenger
I can't die because
I need to kill a certain someone before then

I think of useful as something that helps in life. Anime isn't exactly useful, but it sure is a good source of entertainment and without it, things can get boring.
I understand that it is not as useful as the things we need to survive. Still I don't see how wanting vs. needing anything makes it not useful. Wants and needs are both useful in their own ways.
use·ful
adjective
1.
being of use or service; serving some purpose; advantageous, helpful, or of good effect: a useful member of society.
2.
of practical use, as for doing work; producing material results; supplying common needs: the useful arts; useful work.
Too bad. You're no fun to argue with at all. You overlook all of the important stuff. Tisk tisk tisk.
You're probably confused now, huh? Lemme explain.
Seeing that you googled the definition of "useful," tells me you did NOT read my original post fully. Or you at least didn't seem to understand it. It pretty clearly states that i don't give two sh'ts about the textbook definition. I'll edit that post and put the part you need to be looking at in bold bright blue letters.
